Unable to download the latest updates from Intuit, the manufacturer of the program of your Mac or PC version and you are current in your operating system? Not able to connect with your bank or credit card to download your transactions? Having trouble exporting your reports into Excel? Getting duplicate transactions in your bank register in the program? Payroll stopped running? Things don't seem right when you run your reports? Not sure who is a vendor, customer, employee, or other name or a combination? Thinking of adding a Point of Sale system but unsure if QuickBooks will allow you? Feel that all these problems are overwhelming you and that the program can do more but you don't know how? Bank balance doesn't agree with your entries? Not sure how to use the program? Want to send a copy of your file to your accountant?

Don't have time to learn the program on your own?

As "Dr. QuickBooks (and Quicken)", a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with additional Point of Sale and Enterprise Certification and a 2009 nominee for the City of Seattle Mayor's Small Business Award, I come to your work place to help you solve these problems and teach you how to make QuickBooks (not Quick Books) work for you, instead of the other way around. I work with both operating systems.

If you didn't know how to solve these problems, what else don't you know about? That Intuit is no longer going to support 2007 after May 31, 2010? That you can't update 2006 if you reinstalled in on Vista? And maybe you just discovered that you can no longer run payroll? How you can solve this problem? Where you can buy the 2010 version of QuickBooks Pro for as low as $80? The change in the amount of sales tax in King County (it went up .1% in April 2008 and another 05% again on April 1, 2009.) The new destination sales tax rules that went into effect on July 1, 2008 (you are now required you to charge the sales tax where the taxable service is provided or where the goods or products are delivered, not where you are based.) The recent IRS rule changes regarding start up expenses as well as using the software and the effect it could have on your profits? Why the latest Microsoft Windows updates should be downloaded as a custom selection (one update makes QuickBooks work better) rather than high priority updates? How to import the latest sales tax codes into your software by city, cities, county, counties, or the entire state?

Visit my web site for more information about what else I can specifically do for you and teach, train, and instruct you in this financial management, accounting, and bookkeeping software. I have a City of Seattle business license and am registered with the State of Washington Department of Revenue State of Washington Department of Revenue and the Secretary of State (as a corporation.)

I have taught "Ten Things You Need to Do to Set Up Your Start Up's Books Correctly" at the quarterly Renton Almost Free Biz School and accounting and bookkeeping fundamentals at the Six Hour Start Up Conference. I also was the subject of an article Spotlight on a QuickBooks Instructor: Teaching Small Businesses to Fish on the TeachStreet Blog. TeachStreet is a web site that brings together local teachers and inquiring students.

Because I come to you, I offer three tiers of prices.

If you want to hire me on an hourly basis, I charge $120 an hour with a one hour minimum.

If you want to save, you can agree to a flat three hour block of time at $295 for a consecutive three hour session (a savings of $65 off my hourly rate) and $90 an hour thereafter on the same day (I find that most people need that amount of time to begin to basically learn the program or have their company file set up or checked) so you can count dollars instead of sheep and learn how to fish (or make Tofu if you are a vegan) for yourself.

Or you can pay $1,195 plus mileage for one company file set up, review, and unlimited training including in person, e-mail, or telephone support for a year (that's less than $100 a month) for one person in your company for QuickBooks Pro or Premier only if you are not using Premier's advanced functions.

Payment is expected by check, cash, Revolution Money Exchange (Steve Chase of AOL's latest venture - it's free to send and receive money), Google Checkout, PayPal, MasterCard , Visa, or your first born (just kidding) at the time of service. I am willing to come to you in the Greater Seattle area, North King and South Snohomish Counties, and throughout Western Washington on a case by case basis. I am available evenings and weekends if you work during the day. I may be willing to barter.

Or you can suffer.
